Stirner Jonas

Jonas Stirner is a visionary artist renowned for his diverse art projects and impactful contributions to the contemporary art scene. With a career spanning over two decades, Jonas has continually pushed the boundaries of creativity and artistic expression.

Jonas’s artistic journey took a significant turn in 1997 when he began working closely with the internationally acclaimed artist Robert Rauschenberg. This partnership provided Jonas with unparalleled exposure to the global art world, allowing him to immerse himself in various artistic endeavors. Based on Captiva Island, Florida, Jonas played a pivotal role in the creation, shipping, and exhibition of artworks on an international stage. His involvement extended to prestigious art openings and installations across the United States, Spain, Italy, and France. During this period, Jonas also had the privilege to exhibit his works alongside Rauschenberg in major art hubs like Florida and New York.

By 2012, Jonas embarked on a new chapter as a self-sustaining artist, channeling his creative energies into personal projects. His dedication and talent culminated in his first museum show in 2015 at the esteemed Grounds for Sculpture in New Jersey, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Jonas’s artistic repertoire extends beyond traditional mediums; he has also ventured into lighting projects, including the creation of a stunning 9 x 4-foot chandelier for a prominent beach house in Naples, Florida.

In September 2017, Jonas unveiled a remarkable 10-foot sculpture at the entrance of All Seasons of Naples, Florida. This work exemplifies his ability to combine artistic vision with engineering precision. Designed to withstand Florida’s stringent wind load codes, the sculpture is crafted from high-grade aluminum and powder-coated for maximum durability.

Currently, Jonas is working on public sculptures in Arizona, having been selected from a competitive field of artists for two of four sculpture locations. These ambitious projects involve the creation of two 10-foot powder-coated aluminum sculptures, further testament to his expertise in large-scale installations.

In November 2019, Jonas embraced his father’s legacy by opening the Stirner Modern Gallery at the Karl Stirner Arts Building in Easton. The gallery is a hub for avant-garde and experimental art, seamlessly blending traditional works by regional and international artists.

Jonas Stirner’s artistic achievements reflect his unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence in the art world. His work continues to inspire and captivate audiences, leaving a lasting impact on the cultural landscape.
